Oncology is a branch of medicine that deals with the formation of cancer, its causes, its relationship with heredity, diagnosis, treatment, statistics about cancer and cancer prevention. Cancer is the sum of more than 100 different disease groups characterized by the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells. Although cancer has been known since ancient times, oncology made its most important development in the mid-20th century. Today, cancer continues to be a major cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, and significant progress is being made towards personalized cancer medicine, which is tailored to individuals according to their specific biological abnormalities. In this direction, we aim to create a congress where we will combine oncology with different disciplines and discuss the basic principles and new developments in this field in order to shed light on the developments in the field of cancer and to increase the knowledge of medical students in this field.
